2008-04-12 > FLA Tour DVD
I've made the decision to quit working with Nasty Byte. I personally feel like I've basically made the RGKP mistake for the second time in this regard. If Nasty Byte had been honest about a few things from the beginning, I wouldn't have asked her to produce her entire show anyways. If I work with an experienced person I expect them to tell me upfront that a double dvd is unrealistic, and if her show is filmed with bad audio recordings then I want to know upfront that her plan is to replace the live audio with studio audio. Hearing that she was working on releasing the DVD without me was the final straw. Goodbye Nasty, no one screws me! Jesus fuckin christ, what is it with this project?
The 2DVD idea is pretty much off the table now, and I'm looking for a different record label. Meanwhile the Clawfinger live video nears completion. Lets see which one gets released first.

Our record label doesnt want to release a Front Line Assembly 2DVD for financial reasons. So we will put out a single DVD with 3 hours playing time and 2 live shows. This DVD will be released commercially, while another 3 hours of footage will not be released.
World Domination > Tour DVD will be the commercially released DVD made from professional live video and audio recordings, including the entire 'M'era Luna Festival' and 'Live At Nation' live videos plus 30 minutes of bonus footage. Release is in preparation.
World Domination > Bonus DVD would be the DVD made from fan video and band audio recordings, including the entire Artificial Soldier Tour live video plus 80 more minutes of bonus footage. This DVD will not be released.

Is it insane to record a 500ppl club show with 15 cameras? I said yeah. But I liked something about the idea. We won't have this mega mega setup again at the next shows cause it didnt make everything easier, but its gonna give me a massive library of possibilities during the video production. This aint gonna be 3D, its gonna be SUPERVEILLANCE. I set myself a standard with 6 hours of FLA World Domination, so this time we went out to challenge the boundaries of 90 minutes in 15 perspectives.
I couldnt sleep the night before the gig, so i had some trouble thinkin and organizing things. At least we did the interview before the show. And also recorded both support bands with half of the cams. Then for DK I had that huge pro camera and my arms fell off several times during the show. But we did win the battle, cause we play heavy metal. Lookin foward to start working on this gig in a couple weeks.

As of 21.01.2008 the FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY > WORLD DOMINATION > TOUR 2DVD is finished, I just came home from the post office, the band should have it within 2 weeks. As promised it features 6 hours of FLA video material filmed mainly on the Artificial Soldier 2006 Tour plus a bit of Fallout 2007 Tour footage. The DVD will probably be released on Metropolis Records, so it'd be available in the same places where you can find FLA CDs. But you know what? Thats all outta my hands from today on.

Good news regarding one of the biggest reasons why the FLA > The Videos DVD is on hold. Gary Blair Smith has found maybe the last remaining high quality source tape of this clip somewhere in his archives. So this part of the problem is solved. Of course the clip will still need to be re-licensed cause thats part 2 of the MP video problem. But now I can at least try to clear a good-looking video instead of one of which all source recordings are gone. Thank you very much Gary!

Finally got the footage from camera 4 of the berlin show and just quickly went thru liquid separation in a rough cut today. turns out pretty uptempo so far, needs more brightness and stuff. the 2 berlin songs are among the last bunch of tracks i'm doing, i'm also renovating that buried alive remix video, and i've done a lot of brightness-edits on the mera luna show. its all quickly coming together. closing the last 5 gaps.

Washington D.C. and M'era Luna videos are both basically finished. Just a few more multi-location tracks and the 2007 stuff left to do.
Audio mix of M'era Luna and the Clawfinger gig are now being outsourced to Bernd Abromeit at BA-TON. We will have stereo and surround audio for all the live footage.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm extremely happy and proud to announce that yesterday nights Clawfinger Berlin show was very sucessfully recorded with 6 cameras and multitrack audio by the Mega Mind Video Department recording team. Everything was just unbelievable. I had the FLA Berlin gig in the back of my mind, the gig that unfortunately had everything going wrong, it was in the same location even, basically a nightmare. But this time it was the most beautiful dream. I can't wait to start working on this once the FLA 2DVD is off the table, and I wouldnt be surprised if thats gonna become a really good ClawDVD next year. Even the band interview was perfect, and we additionally recorded 'playback' performance for a music video of my fave Clawsong 'Don't Wake Me Up'. The FLA DVD was and is a battle, this experience is like a beautiful dream coming true in all its facettes. Heavy Metal Forever! FUCK YEAH!

In regards to the usual dvd-bashing on that forum there, well, if someone tells me to throw half of my dvd into the garbagecan, add some completely new material to it and start from half-scratch again after a year... then I will say I'm sorry but I can't do that.
We're having 3 full live shows here, and all 3 are completely different. M'era Luna is a daylight show on a festival with thousands of people, Widescreen and Multitrack audio, Washington DC is a club show with Nasty Byte's special way of editing live material, and at last the AS Tour footage was filmed by lots of FLA fans in multiple cities, with Reely audio and the best visual events from 28 cameras.
Some other shows didnt work out at this point. Paris was never given to me until today! I've done the best I could do, and yes I couldve done some things different, but I remember the time before the soccer world championship last year where everyone believed that Juergen Klinsmann (german teams trainer) would ruin it, and then we ended up 3rd best team on the planet. Fuck you all. I believe.
The 2DVD will be finished before the end of this year. Unless I'll have to do it all over again. If not, this deadline is promised. Word.

It's official: As of today, 'RGKP > Video Produktion' have quit working on the FLA Dresden 2006 DVD. Well, what can, what am I allowed to say about it at this point? Let me mention that I laughed about some lawyer-threats that I got from someone, but I think it's probably legal to just tell you people what really happened. Well yeah, 12 months after filming the gig I wasnt really satisfied seeing that -even at time of FLA's Berlin 2007 gig- the band and me had still not seen anything better from RGKP than an advance dvd from January 07, with rough unmixed audio and all that. My question as to why this was the case was 'answered' by insulting me, because I was supposed to have delayed submitting the bonus footage, and my email archive proof of these insults being NOT based on real events was also ignored. So I was called guilty for delaying a DVD that I basically had nothing to do with (apart from the extremely important bonus footage haha). I did not cut the video on it, didnt mix the audio, I never even had the source recordings in my hands. Actually my own Tour Bonus Disc just happened because I was 'working' on a DVD and had nothing to do on it, so basically with that bonus disc I just picked up something for myself to do in that whole game at all... As for the Dresden material that I got to see, I wasnt happy with it. MY mistake was to choke that down for a long time. It took me until the Berlin gig 2 weeks ago (a story for itself) to finally get pissed enough to stand up and say: I do not accept this work, I can do a way better video cut, this isnt good enough. As for audio, me and the band always wanted that part to be done by Greg or Glen Reely, however somebody in charge decided to let his buddies do it instead. So then recently I took a step, informed RGKP that I was not going to support this project any longer, and I would either be allowed creative control, and given the audio and video to re-edit, or I would exclude that Dresden thing from my FLA Tour DVD project and recommend to the band to forget about it too. This offense of mine of course turned the last week into a heavy email-battle between me and them. Today however, this is funny, today I took the bit of Dresden live footage that I DO have, which is a 6 cam recording of Unleashed, and made a live video cut out of it myself in 2 hours. Then I presented the 12 month professionally cut RGKP version, and my 2 hour amateur cut - both made out of exactly the same source material - side by side, and sent those two videos to some people. Well, 30 minutes after receiving that Email, RGKP informed me of quitting the project by their own decision. Unfortunately they threatened me not to post these 2 videos publicly, I'd have loved to do so to make you understand visually what I'm talking, and what I was worried about. So that's my little story. And here we are.
Whats going to happen to the FLA tour DVD now? Well, the bonus disc is finished by now (apart from the 2 new 2007 songs), and for the Main DVD, well I'm prepared and I'm working on a good 'Dresden RGKP' replacement. Watch this space for news on that, probably within the next week. And well, let me end this with a word to you FLA fans: If anyone told you that Henrik never gets his DVD's done, and you still think so after this story, then just fuck yourself. You could blame someone else if you feel the need to. You're welcome to chill out when I say that NOW, FINALLY, I got things under control. Under my own control this time. The FLA Tour DVD is not cancelled, it's just never been my project - until today. I'm happy today.

While waiting for everyone else involved to finish their stuff on the TourDVD I've been bored and got to funk around with the vids again, turned Comatose Prophecy and Fragmented into HDV and Widescreen format and tested some new stuff, also preparing new vids for Maniacal and Buried Alive... and tuned the Live Wired settings again. It was all blue and red in my last version (as seen in the Liquid Separation trailer), now I disabled some more blue so it's getting closer to what it probably looked like in the very beginning - red yellow blue - before it was accidentally turned all blue and purple for the VHS version.

Done my fuckin homework, dude. Bonus Disc2 90% done. Just half a song left to cut, audio needs to be sorted. Bonus footage almost done too. Last big thing about this baby is the Mera Luna stuff. 2 more weeks for that. I finished negotiations for the ML material today, its official, the 2 songs are bought.
Had to encounter delays with the main disc, however back at it now.
Say 4 weeks. The end is near.
2007-02-14 FLA > ARTIFICIAL SOLDIER TOUR > 2DVD
Okay, now I got ahold of the audio recordings that Glen Reely made of some of the shows. Plus his video footage from Paris, yet more from Moscow and backstage stuff. There will be pro audio available from about 10 different shows on the bonus disc. The last missing pieces of material have arrived, only 2 tapes left to be received. I can finish this Bonus DVD within 4 weeks.
Oh, the Dresden DVD... I'm responsible for the bonus disc on my own, but the main disc isnt worse or anything. I got the final cut of the Dresden show last week, and this is where its at. Its all glassclear and high-definition. 7 cameras, 24 audio tracks, the best stage light setup I've ever seen, it IS perfect. The final steps for me here are subtitling the interviews in multiple languages, finishing the soundcheck footage, then there isnt much more to be done but waiting for Greg Reelys audio mix and the final authoring.

I received a mass of material in the last few days. 15 data DVDs from Moscow, thank ya Rush! Also got the Philadelphia and Malm� recordings, and a very good looking advance of the professional live cuts from the Washington show by Nasty Byte Produktions. And last not least I finally have High quality recordings of the videos Body Count, Iceolate, Virus, The Blade, Millennium and Intermix - The Process and Monument.

The FLA Dresden DVD production should be finished by end of January, the bonus disc by end of February. As far as playing time goes, you should be floored: 3 hours maxed out on both discs. The Videos / Live Wired is on hold at this point of time in favour of the others.

2006-08-26 FLA Tour DVD
The Artificial Soldier Tour DVD will not be out in 2006, we had a meeting today and we will take our time for the production, means our deadline for this baby is 31.12.2006 for postproduction. Then give the label 3 months for release preparation, so look foward to this baby in Spring 2007.
2006-08-22 Mission Successful
Filming the Dresden gig went down very well, good performance and enthusiastic fans, working equipment, and unlike during the Rostock gig I didnt even step on a switch that would reset Corndogs gear this time :)
We also did loads of bonus footage, Interviews with all bandmembers, guided tour on Jeremy's stage equipment, funny stuff during the soundcheck, impressions from the location and fans, etc.
Postproduction should begin soon, the whole DVD might be technically finished by the end of september, and since THIS DVD doesnt have the complicated licensing situation that the other one has, it might even land in stores before the end of the year.
2006-08-16 2006 Tour DVD
We are currently getting ready to film the FLA show in Dresden on Sunday 20.08.2006. 7 HD cameras and 24 track audio, not the worst setup. In addition to this I'll try to travel to N�rnberg the day after the Dresden gig and film more bonus footage (already got some of that in Rostock last Friday). The company we work with is www.rgkp.de
2006-08-06 Live Wired Outtakes
When I filmed the Interview with Christian Poeck (the director of the original LW show in 1995) he mentioned that he had some old Rhys Fulber Interview on tape somewhere. He found the tape and oops, it also had some unreleased Live Wired footage, among that the recording of Plasticity that he put up on youtube now. There is more than that, maybe its even a complete camera track. So there'll be a big portion of previously unreleased original 1995 footage on the DVD. For now I cant say exactly what it is and where I'll use it, but its up to 4 hours of footage, and I think I'll be able to add it to the original show so theres a bit more band performance and less FX.

11.06.2006 FLA DVD > summary update
THE VIDEOS / LIVE WIRED 2DVD is 90% finished now, but the problem is that none of the record labels who hold rights for the official video footage (Roadrunner: 9 clips, MET: 2 clips, SPV: Live Wired) want to license and put out the package themselves. Means that I have to find, or rather found a label that does this. I have decided to do this rather than cancelling 2 years of work invested into the project, but since founding a label isnt totally easy I cant say much about procedure and timing yet.
ARTIFICIAL SOLDIER will also get honoured with a music video, the song of choice will not necessarily be the same as the next FLA single, but it will probably be UNLEASHED. Additional footage for it will be filmed soon and will also include the band. All of the lights in the video are artificial, no sun- and daylight used. Video will be available for download on MP when ready and also land on one or both of the DVD releases.
ARTIFICIAL SOLDIER TOUR DVD can be confirmed to happen now, filming should start in 2 months. Will either be financed by a record label so one show can be filmed professionally with multiple cameras; or be done like Ministry's Sphinctour DVD - multiple (maybe 10) shows filmed by 1-3 cameras. Audio to be recorded by Greg Reely, final result would be a compilation of the recordings, multiple audio and video tracks are possible. In addition to the liveshows: interviews, backstage, soundchecks, documentations and much more are planned.
28.05.2006 Hospital pt2, FLADVD book, Record labels
After being in hospital yet again for the last 3 weeks (and having my appendix removed without complications) I have now returneth home and I'm in the new flat with internet. So 3 months of upside-down-nonsense have come to end now.
Latest nonsense regarding the FLA DVD production itself is that I spent some time writing down the story of making the DVDs so far. Its about 20 pages of written text for 2004-2005 alone, gonna be interesting how much it'll actually get until the DVD is out... might end up as part of the booklet or free website feature.
Latest nonsense regarding the DVD release is that I've been trying to deal with numerous record-labels such as SPV, Metropolis and RoadRunner, and they are all ok with licensing the clips to another label but none of them is ok with releasing the actual DVD themselves. Means that I'll have to make science on founding an own label or setting up the whole project in some way to make the release possible. Its very difficult however, and yet another big chapter opening in the story of this fascinating, now legendary, now 2 years old FLA DVD adventure.
Last not least the good news is that the new FLA album is the best theyve ever done (seriously), and work on a video for the new album has just begun. And the FLA 2006 tour DVD appears to be just 10% as complicated as the other one, looking foward to that action.
27.04.2006 Henriks Update 05/2006
Been in that hospital, yup. And before going there I had to move out of my old flat at the end of February, so I carried all my stuff into a temporarily empty flat in the house. Then I went off for 3 weeks to that clinic, and when I came back home I still had to wait for my phone/internet connection to be installed for 2 more weeks. Now I'm having my last few days in the temporary flat, gonna move into the new one this weekend. And then this mess is done.
Somewhere in between I also took the time to proceed with the FLAvideos. Comatose is almost done now, and while I dont expect everyone to like it, what I can say is that there is 5 times as much to see as in other video clips. Its not easy to watch at all, but you can watch it 50 times and still discover structures you hadnt realized before. The laws of nature. Prophecy and Vanished still need their fixes, but for my stuff the end is near, really.
Bill has seen the latest version and likes it, but he rather wants it to have newer FLA material included (means the new album and tour this year); and after waiting for SPV to push this project foward for a year I'm currently talking to other labels. My apologies for giving out possible releasedates that went by so far, but theyve always been based on 'if everything runs well and quickly from now'. So here you can have me saying 'This should be out sometime in autumn 2006', and the more you learn, the better you get.
01.03.2006 FLA DVD 2 / Hospital
While the 'The Videos / Live Wired' DVD is still waiting for tapes and going through some legal issues (more soon), another FLA DVD project is coming into sight now: 'FLA Live 2006' would be a documentation of the coming European FLA tour. This is just in the planning stage for now, however it would be done by a professional filming company and I'd be part of the filming and production team.
Gonna be in hospital for most of March 06 and will work on the Comatose, Prophecy, and Fragmented videos via laptop over there.

FLADVD remains priority. If I get all those damn tapes it's 2 months til I'm done. And looks like having the thing out til summer will be good timing along with the FLA tour. Its not up to me though to send me the tapes, so thats all I can say about the deadline.
Will also take a break in February for getting a bit more healthy. With option on another one sometime in Spring. At least I've decided to get a laptop to keep myself busy with some developments. And I really want to restart making music soon.

The longer it takes, the better it gets... no, I cant finish at the end of the year, but let me give you a lil insight. What I did finish was getting my part done almost as far as I could, but I'm still waiting for some elementary tapes to arrive. Please mind that this is a low-budget project, and the amount of time and work invested by the contributing bandmembers and me is all happening due to the fact that FLA rules, not big money. And this fact also means that a record company cant set this project as their big priority. Thats why it's taking so long. Plus, let me say that much about me, my state of health doesnt totally support a 40hours a week work ethic either.
But you could always have a 'professional' FLA DVD with 9 instead of 17 FLA Video clips, and with the crappy, unchanged original Live Wired footage, and no bonus content, or you could have no FLA DVD at all.
Since people will ask bout the releasedate anyway, I'm almost done with what I have, and when the tapes are in then it'll all be done here soon. Then it depends on the record company. Give those guys a few months. I'm all set for a late spring 2006 release.

hey. a few other facts from the top of my head:
high working speed on the FLA DVD. countless additions and updates to it lately. Comatose and Prophecy video clips are now restored lightyears far beyond their old versions. Footage from various FLA people situated in the US and Canada is in the final stages of development and is twice to 3 times as much as I ever dreamt it would become.
I personally have set the date 31.12.2005 as my video work deadline to the whole FLA DVD project, means that 01.01.2006 would be the day when I send out the master tapes of the 2DVD to the record company. Until that point the FLA DVD will be the no.1 priority above all other projects.

After a few weeks of inactivity I've gotten back to the FLA DVD production recently, and I'm watching the just finished "Live Wired v2.0" footage right now. The new version is updated with new audio tracks and a few special tricks that make the hard-to-watch original video footage twice as intense and emotionally capturing. See a few screenshots to see what I mean.
More time is still needed for clearing business issues and for finishing up the new music videos and surrounding works. But if the label plays well, January 2006 can be the releasedate. You dont wanna wait that long? Hold on just a bit and you will find the next previews here, a little update on the good old trailer - and one live track off Live Wired 2.0.

Adrian White will also record an interview. For people unfamiliar with those two names, Jed and Adrian played guitars and drums on the Live Wired tour, so we'll let them have their say on the Live Wired DVD re-release.

FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY - THE VIDEOS / LIVE WIRED. THE OFFICIAL FLA DVD - coming in 2005. I've been busy with this for months now, and at this point of time its almost sure to happen: Front Line Assembly will release a DVD sometime this year including ALL THEIR MUSIC VIDEO CLIPS in glancing DVD quality, including the legendary Mindphaser clip, the 2 Intermix video clips and about 5 new unreleased music videos for songs such as Prophecy, Comatose, Everything Must Perish etc. Not enough? The DVD will probably be a double disc set and will also have the whole "Live Wired" live show video of their 1995/96 tour, completely renovated and remastered. And how about audio commentaries by the band and some of the video directors along with all of that? I'll do my best. Eh yup, this DVD is currently being worked out by Henrik Bauer at Mega Mind Video Department, the person who is also the MP admin and who's writing this text now:) Releasedate wont be before late summer 2005. As you might have or have not noticed, I'm currently in hospital and will be back at home around Xmas. My health situation is now very good, just like my general situation is. There will be breaking news before the end of the year once more, and at present there are very high chanches that I'll make audio and video material commercially available in 2005, this would be based on artist deals etc. A lot of highly complicated and detailed plans are progressing very effectively now, so just gimme a bit more time, the process is radioactive.

I put in the CD with the AboveBelow Demos - half of the songs on the album arent finished, this one wasnt longer than 2 minutes yet - and decided I should get on the comp - you mightve noticed that I havent made much music recently, this is the first time I make music since August - and now I might even finish AboveBelow.
Okay folks, I need a record deal. Gonna do a little more music and then I gotta send out my first demo CD since summer 2002. Why do I have such a timing? I just concentrate on this, then on that, and in between all that I cant concentrate at all, and before I concentrate on anything I have to break a barrier that lays at the point where I stopped working last time. Long Time No See. Yep I suck donkey for taking the site off and then taking it back up months later without having made any changes. I had plans to redo the site with PHP-MySQL but after getting annoyed from unsuccessfully trying to teach myself PHPMySQL I decided that the site doesnt have to be frozen due to that. Here it is, almost as before. I think I'll now get back to updating it more regularly, say once a month.
For November there's not many news YET. But THE PROJECT is finished now, and I hope to present the most ultimate news about it within a few days, say 1-3 weeks.

Uargh well... new computer, 3GhZ. Returned from the holidays and crashed into a horrible computer-malfunction episode. Generally everything is back at working levels and a bit better, but way too much damage had to be dealt with. For upcoming projects all I can say is I try to get back to work before I announce it. Alrighty. So I've finished the Devin Townsend track, and if the CD does happen, the track will be on it. Also just begun working on yet another track to be released somewhere, it's a remix of the track "The Swarm" by Dismantled. So for more info on Dismantled see www.dismantled.org The good thing is that I sent Gary (their boss) a snippet of it and he replied "best remix so far", the bad thing is that I'll be outta the house for ~6 weeks now, so I'm not sure if I can finish it and all, but if Garys response is that good I should work it out. Might end up on a forthcoming "The Swarm" single then, let's see about it. So apart from that there is something else in the works, but it's top secret and not confirmed to happen yet, so lemme just say the story continues, and this artist has a future to take place later this year.

New Video: Filming for a new video clip went down this new years eve, so the theme of the clip is explosive. The song will be Alpha Centauri by 21st Century Jesus, so this is gonna be the first video I do for my own music (apart from the improved footage as used in the Live Show). Features myself playing guitar and smoking backwards, plus fireworks and explosions, all of that is being arranged now. Should be finished and released before the end of January, and will be boss.

Harddisc-crash. My 60GB HD freaked out. This sucks cause most of the video stuff was on it, and some content, among it the FLA Prophecy, Synaesthesia - The Flood and Devin Townsend Band - Traveller video programming files and masters are unaccessable. A repair is eventually possible, but might be very expensive. So all that I have available from the vids are mpeg2 SVCD versions. But I have a bigger 160GB HD now, so the good news is that I've finally restarted to produce new videos. This time it will primarily be clips for 21st Century Jesus songs, but also more fan videos. Probably more Devin Townsend and FLA, I'll see what comes around.
Works I've done in the last month are mainly the new version of Mindphaser.com, which features a lot more content and infos about my fav band Front Line Assembly and its sideprojects, and can now definitely seen as the biggest FLA fansite in the net. My contribution is the installment and creation of content for many of the 450 pages that the site consists of. The new site version will go online in this week.

The internship is over, I was overstressed and accepted that Im not able to work under the conditions given, had some days of total blackout motivationlessness. No news updates? Here they are. Finally. Bigtime!
Its a record, Ive forgotten updating the newspage for 1,5 months, longer than ever before. If youve visited the site in between, youve seen things happen anyway, I just forgot the news page. Okay, most updates have happened in the Mega Mind Dept. This has a reason, I havent been making music for the last 6 weeks, and concentrated on videos. The "Devin Townsend Band - Traveller" clip was finished, but due to broken webspace I havent put it online yet (you might find it on soulseek though). The coolest thing that happened is, I got an internship (Praktikum) at a postproduction company in Berlin. I sent out 3 job applications in this year at all, no.1 came back, company closed; no.2 came back, not interested; no.3 got me the job :) Means 10 hours of being there every day, doing this & that, but its almost like being at home and sitting on the comp, but now with better equipment and experienced people around me :) So the internship takes 6 months, and if everything is ok I'll get a real job there after that. This will of course reduce my free time, but is necessary and helpful of course. Anyway, I'll keep doing video stuff the way I did, just technically better. So the next projects at home will probably be postproduction for a band called Pre(e), and a videoclip AND remix for a metal band called "Preacher", featuring Ryan van Poederooyen the mighty drummer of the Devin Townsend Band, finally using 3D visuals on the video.
With that much video business, there is not much space left for anything else. So what about music? Less is more maybe, Ive been doing just a few new tracks lately, both from "the Alien Sounds", and as soon as there's webspace, I'll put them into the net. The Shark Assaults is a dark slow track, and "Alpha Centauri" is a weird instrumental, the guitars get turned up after 5 minutes, the track might become two songs in one, the basic groove fuckin rolls, the Alien Sounds album will get a lot of better grooves going than the old stuff. Just wait till you get to hear "Alpha Centauri", your questions will be answered.
Replicate 01 - A Tribute to Front Line Assembly
And the Front Line Assembly tribute album "Replicate 01" was finally released on 25.08.03, featuring my cover tune "Haloed XP". This is now the really cool moment, as this is the first 21stCJ track to be officially released on a CD that will hit stores worldwide. Today Id like to have some last words concerning the Iraq-war, since I changed my opinion on the subject, away from anti-Bush-ism:
I remember hating the US for doing the war back then, and I overthought my opinion when it became clear to me what subhuman kind of bastard Saddam was. I think I had agreed on the war, if I had known about how evil Saddam really was before the war.
But hey, let me say the german news were all day talking about the diplomatic problems between Europe and the US and pointless shit like that, and that mass destruction weapons fake thing, and Saddams cruelty wasnt mentioned in a single word until after the war, so I got the impression that the US were only egoistic bastards looking for a weapon playground and oil. Im sorry for that at this point of time, but at the time of the war I just hated the US from what I knew back then. So how did this happen? I mean I say the war was justified, from what I know nowadays, but I'm pissed about the media, or whoever gets the credit for putting the US/Euro diplomacy in the middle of the news, instead of the perversion goin on in Iraq for 20 years. It would have made sense if the US had used the truth about Saddams perversion as main argument for the war, then I guess there hadnt been all the anti-americanism. Id like to say I dont hate Bush anymore since that, I mean not that he's anyone I would vote or support, but thanks for putting Saddam down dude. The Saddam team were people that would have landed in a prison psychatry in a country like Germany, for doing what they did to the people around them. Interesting, but why didnt anyone talk about it until the war was over?

I tried to concentrate more on vids, and the Devin Townsend Clip and FLA's Comatose are getting a lot better than any video stuff Ive done before. Release dates for those are still unknown, check for updates in the downloads. There were also four new demos recorded for the alien sounds album already, one will be here for download soon. Something has changed and made this easier.
Some changes were made to the website, too. The whole Mega Mind section is working now, and both the 21stCJ and the Mega Mind page are waiting for new designs, but everything at its time. Im busy, so sorry for few updates.

And just in case anyone hasnt noticed it yet: Bush supressed Saddam via the UN all the time, saying the Iraq doesnt mind the rules of the UN. Now Bush is doing an assault war (and thats a major crime, Mr President), and gives a shit about the UN, breaks their rules as if these rules are for every country but not the most arrogant one. Bush is the new Hitler, thats just what I see. The new version.
I'm not worried about saddams weapons. What about the US weapons? Thats the REAL point. But the US weapons are good cause they save YOUR ass, and they got a big advantage: theyre "democratic".
My point is that I can only laugh about the statement that they MUST do this war cause Saddam is a threat. WHO is a threat? A little dictator, or a religious fanatic leading the biggest army in the world?
What will this war lead the world into? Bagdad will drown in blood, Israel will collapse or explode into the biggest war ever, Karzai will be murdered, so Afghanistan will collapse, and for you happy americans, 911 part2 will come to you. Congrats. War is solution. And the most dumbest thing is, to start the war at the point where the Iraq finally cooperates with the inspectors. Thats treachery against all the people who think further than you do. All those "NON-Americans". any american, please tell me why its good to start an assault war and murder civilists!!!

No, he`s not the same as Hitler, but we have 2003 and not 1936. And we have the USA and not Germany. A new version in a different place and time. Maybe the Hitler-association is based on my european perspective? But hey, whats the propaganda part of this game? I wonder how much the US civilists know, and how much more information the european civilists get to hear. All the way, Bush has tried to create a war situation, and Europe was in the way. Thats what I have seen. The Bush team tried as hard as they could, to make up a problem. In the end they even broke up with the UNO and stuff. and the latest fun news are: Iraq shoots missiles at kuwait, then people wonder why the missiles dont carry any biological or chemical mass destruction weapons, and the Iraq answers "because we dont have any". I have my opinion on who is the bad guy in this war, guess who.

The Challenger has landed from the most unrealistic mission ever. The hate remains, and was realized in a distant fire, now coming to you on its way. The new album "The Alien Sounds" is now being constructed away from the homebase, so its a lyrics and concepts album by now, but it will be the priority soon. See the new Alien Sounds page for more info on the new main project of the band. However, the work on TM and abovebelow has not been aborted, everything at its time. Recovery mission has now deforced depressions, enabled motivation, and taken foward into the middle of everything. The new album will be a report of all that processing. Breakdown: Henrik is currently in hospital in response to a very strong depressive episode. Will be back in a week and then soon leave for 3 months, the band activities might be on a lower level and extern mode for a while. This is a trial to advance the anti-depressive intern resistance, the upgrade is inavoidable for survival.

Some little updates on the design, colour and order changes. Yesterday I went out to see Underworld, and it was over the top, also Queens of the Stoned age were great last week. These days saw a lot of tensions in my life, but also a real lot of great music. The Terminator Modus Site was also updated, the album is progressing a lot these days. New lyrics for Stargate are also online.
